One Large-scale Water Diversion Project Will Start at End of This Year
Last month the Xinan Water Diversion Project, a major water conservancy infrastructure project in Xiapu County, has successfully completed the bidding publicity work for the survey and design of all stages, marking key progress in the preliminary preparations of the project. The project is scheduled to officially construction at the end of 2026 year and is expected to be fully completed and put into use in 2028 year.
As a key livelihood project for Xiapu County to optimize the layout of water resources and support high-quality development in the southern region, the Xinan Water Diversion Project has a total investment of approximately 660 million yuan. The project will benefit hundreds of thousands of people along the route and completely change the situation of water shortage and unstable water supply during the dry season.
