Breakthrough in the world's largest diameter HDPE pipe!

The Saudi Arabia Jizan Industrial City Seawater Cooling Project, undertaken by China Harbour Engineering Company and constructed by the Fourth Navigation Bureau, includes the first phase of offshore HDPE water intake pipes and ancillary facilities, onshore pump houses, drainage channels and return fiberglass pipes.

The total length of the HDPE pipe is about 6.6 kilometers, with a diameter of 3.5 meters, which is the largest diameter submarine pipe of its kind installed worldwide.

In June 2025, as the project team successfully completed the floating installation of the S2 to S7 sections of the pipeline, the S8 to S9 pipeline will also be launched for installation.
